Educational Scholarship Award

The Edith Davis Educational Scholarship

Honoring the Legacy of Edith Davis – A courageous breast cancer survivor, tireless advocate for education, and steadfast pillar of community strength.

This $2,000 scholarship—awarded as two individual grants of $1,000 each—supports students who are attending or planning to attend a college, university, or trade school. Eligible applicants are those whose lives have been directly or indirectly impacted by breast cancer and who aspire to transform that experience into positive change.

Funds may be applied toward tuition, books, or other academic-related expenses.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a High School Senior or College Freshman

  • Must reside in the NY/Philadelphia tri-state areas.

  • Must be directly/indirectly affected by breast cancer.

  • Must show a strong commitment to advocacy, leadership, or education.

 

Submission Requirements 

  • Completed Application Form

  • One Letter of Recommendation (from teacher, counselor, or mentor)

  • Essay Submission (must be submitted at the time of application)

Deadline to Apply: SEPTEMBER 30, 2025

(The recipient of the scholarship will be notified via email by October 11th, 2025)

 

In 500–750 words, respond to the following prompt: Share how breast cancer has impacted your life, directly or through someone close to you. Then, describe how you plan to use your story, education, and platform to inspire, impact, and inform others in the ongoing fight against breast cancer.
